Chickpeas with cod

- Ingredients

  • 1 kg of desalted cod
  • 400g chickpeas
  • 3/4 ml white wine
  • 15 toasted almonds
  • 1 bouillon cube
  • Salt
  • 1 onion
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 slice of bread, fried
  • Olive oil
  • Saffron
  • Parsley

 

Method

Fry a slice of bread and mix it with the crushed almonds.

Chop the onion and garlic and sauté. Put the olive oil, wine and pieces of cod into an earthenware pot, cover, and leave to cook on a low heat until the cod is tender, stirring from time to time.

Add the chickpeas, sautéed onions and garlic, bouillon cube, chopped parsley and a few strands of saffron.

Sauté for a few minutes.

Serve piping hot.
