Tango Festival
Every year, the city of Granada hosts a Tango Festival dedicated to the dance that was declared Intangible Heritage of Humanity in 2009 and is highly popular worldwide.

The Tango Festival in Granada aims to fill the entire city with rhythm and passion, via the musical creations and choreographies of artists and shows. The festival also organises parallel activities, from conferences, dance lessons and traditional dances in the street to evening festivities and meetings of artists with amateurs.
A tango contest is held every year in the Isabel la Católica Theatre, in other towns in the province, and in the University.
The festival's management committee aims to make every aspect of the tango known to the wider community as a wonderful melting pot of contemporary urban culture.
