How to get to the city centre in Granada from the railway station
How to get to the city centre, to the Alhambra and to the Albaicín and Sacromonte quarters from the railway station.

Exit the railway station and go up Avenida Andaluces. In Avenida de la Constitución, on the right, take bus line 4. WARNING!!! Tickets on bus line 4 are sold in the blue-grey cash machines (1,40€) NOT WITH THE DRIVER. If you buy a card, you must tap it on the blue-grey reader outside the bus stop. Entering the bus without a ticket carries a fine. Keep your ticket if you are going to make a transfer.
You can also continue 150m on foot to the bus stop in front of hotel Tent and take lines 21 or 33. In these lines you can pay direct with the driver (1,40 EUR). Keep the bus ticket if you want to transfer lines.

You will have to get off the bus at the following bus stops in order to reach the city centre.

“Catedral” if your destination is Gran Vía, Plaza Nueva, Albaicín or Realejo.

“Acera del Darro 40” if your destination is Puerta Real or Recogidas.

If you want to arrive at the Alhambra, you have to get off the bus at the “Catedral” bus stop. On that bus stop located by the railings of Oficios street. You can catch the minibus line:

C32: you will arrive at the Ticket Office and the Generalife gardens (the bus stop is called “Generalife”). You can also get close to the Nasrid Palaces and the Alcazaba if you get off the bus at the “Palacio de Carlos V” or “Puerta de la Justicia” bus stops.

If you want to arrive at the Albaicín or Sacromonte quarters you will have to get off the bus at the “Catedral” bus stop and walk 10m/30 ft. to the bus stop located by the railings of Oficios street. You can catch there the following mini-bus lines:

If you catch the bus line C31 you will arrive at the Albaicín quarter.

If you catch the bus line C34 you will arrive at the Sacromonte quarter.

You can transfer bus lines in less than an hour since your purchase of the bus ticket and without the need of a new ticket.
