Fuente de la Bicha-Presa Real

Presa_Real.JPG

This walk is one of the most traditional routes in Granada. In ancient times, this walk along the bank of River Genil was the natural path taken by people from Granada when they wanted to go up to Sierra Nevada. It has a wide range of plants, such as blackberries, poplar groves, osiers, willows, reed beds and so on.

The end of this route proposed is at Presa Real dam, where the irrigation ditch called ''Acequia Gorda del Genil'' appears.

If you want, you can keep going up to Pinos Genil (4,5km more)

Starting point: Paseo del Salón

Length: 4,700m
